Why Scint-X?
X-ray imaging is used as an important tool in many applications,
for example in medical examinations and industrial radiology.
Digital X-ray sensors are replacing photographic film, offering
higher sensitivity and a much more efficient way of handling and
processing image content. As a conventional detector (CCD, CMOS or
TFT) only detects visible light, a scintillator is needed to
convert the X-ray signal into one that is detectable by the sensor.
Scint-X has a unique and patented way of fabricating a structured
scintillator, which significantly improves detector
performance.
